And those who reside here would argue this statement still holds true today. Naperville is one of the largest cities in Illinois with over 148,000 people, and is only a 45 min to an hour drive from the windy city of Chicago. Although Naperville’s population does not compare to Chicago’s 2.6 Million people, its thriving city has just as much to offer if not more.
Naperville is home to many small locally owned stores and restaurants as well as the headquarters for many large companies. Because of these great businesses in the city Naperville has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state, compared to the 8.2% who are unemployed in Chicago.
Naperville’s energetic history pulsates throughout the entire city, from its magnificent architecture to its captivating museums. The city is also bordered by the beautiful DuPage River. Naperville has taken advantage to this great landscape and has built parks, museums and the famous river walk around the DuPage River.
